Tarrina Health is an early stage startup looking to bring health to Bharat. Our goal is to improve access to affordable, evidence based and high quality health products in small towns and villages in India. We do this by creating a modern and digitized distribution channel for small town and rural pharmacies, which will expand the availability of health products they can order, ensure products are quality tested and prevent stockouts due to outdated manual supply chains. Our current Head Office is in Godhra, Gujarat and we cover 2000 pharmacies and provision stores across 6 districts. About the Role
Tarrina Health is looking to hire an ambitious and competent professional for the role of Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will be a key member of our leadership team and will grow with the organization. He/she will refine, grow, own and run Tarrina’s finance, accounting and logistics systems. The Operations Manager will have at least 3-4 years of experience in accounting, including experience with Zoho Books (knowledge of other Zoho apps is an asset). He/she will have exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Finally, the ideal candidate will be passionate about improving the state of rural healthcare in India and will be willing to explore other aspects of the organization, including some field travel. The Operations Manager will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
Implement the Zoho suite on a daily basis for accounting, sales management, inventory management and logistics
Lead the implementation of operations policies including finance and accounting, payroll, HR, audit, procurement and logistics among others
Collaborate with IT consultants to digitize and automate Tarrina Health’s supply chain and processes
Manage the logistics and packaging teams (total of 5 people)
Collaboratively set, monitor and own operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Work with CA to complete annual audit
Work efficiently, empathetically and flexibly with the startup’s small but passionate team
Salary: Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month, based on relevant experience and skillset
Benefits: 21 days paid vacation per year, EPF contributions, learning and development budget
Employment Type: Full Time (6 months probation). Either party has the right to cancel the employment with 2 months of advance notice.
Key Requirements:
- At least 3-4 years of growing experience in an operations role for an MSME or MNC
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting
- Proficiency with the Zoho suite (specifically Zoho Books and Inventory Management)
- Proficiency in using MS Office, Google Suite and willingness to learn new digital applications
- Self motivated and quick learner
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership and team building skills - ideally some experience with leading small teams
- Excellent attention to detail and written documentation
- Fluent in verbal and written Gujarati
- Good working proficiency in English
- Organization skills
- Professional relationship building skills
- Honesty and transparency
Preferences:
- Motivation to have a social impact by improving healthcare access in small town and rural India
- Work experience in logistics or retail
